Ergaki is one of those places where you want to return every season, because the feeling from skiing here, among Siberian nature and the purest mountain air, are incredible. In addition to the excellent freeride on the slopes of Ergaki, you will pass through the winter steppe Khakassia, visit Tuva: you will see the shamanic rituals, stay in the very center of Asia in Kyzyl, and meet old-believers.

You will see how people from the past live and maintain their traditions in taiga. It is not easy to reach them. But once you reach they will treat you to Siberian tea made from herbs, they will teach you to roll traditional Russian felt boots “valenki”, and the lovers of winter fishing will be discover excellent fishing places..
And what breath-taking views are there! The village of Sizim, where we will go, is a real winter fairy tale.

Then you will find yourself on a moose breeding farm where you can try antler baths, ride horses and a snowmobile.

We will complete our indulgence in Siberia in an amazing place, the village of artisans and craftsmen of Petropavlovka. Here you can see how traditional Russian musical instruments are made, how blacksmiths and pottery craftsmen work.
You will be able to participate in traditional Siberian master classes in craftsmanship, listen to the sound of the harp and pipe.

Program by day

Day 1. Krasnoyarsk

Arrival to Krasnoyarsk. Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Accommodation Dinner. Before start of the tour, excursions around Krasnoyarsk and its surroundings are possible. :  City tour  Natural reserve Stolby “Stolby” is located just 30 min drive from city centre. Thanks to its unusual shape and structure it’s famous around Russia and abroad. You will see syenite rocks, for thousands of years being transformed by winds and precipitation into pieces of art. Many of them even have their own names: Feathers, Grandfather, Grandma and Chinese wall. Under the guidance of an experienced mountaineer, you can climb to “shoulder” of the “Grandpa” and see the incredible panorama of the taiga.

Day 2. Krasnoyarsk - Ergaki

Breakfast. Further on specially prepared off- road cars we go along the route Krasnoyarsk - Ergaki (610 km). The journey takes approx. 10-13 hours. Lunch - in a cafe of national cuisine. Along the way, you will see the winter steppe Khakassia, visit a unique monument of Tagar culture of the 7-3 centuries BC “Boyar pisanitsu”. Boyar pisanitsa is a series of rock carvings that were made by hand on the southwestern slope of the Boyar mountain range. About 170 images, carved by the ancient people point technology. Here you will see animals, residential buildings of that era, as well as detailed human figures of horsemen, shepherds, archers, hunters. Arrival in Ergaki at about 17-18 o'clock. Hotel accommodation. Rest.

Day 3–5. Freeride or mountain skiing / snowboard.

Three days of fresh air and snow! You can enjoy the slopes to the fullest, take a break from civilization, hone your skills and relax in the winter evenings.

Day 6. Visit to old-believers

Breakfast. Departure for the village Sizym (350 km, travel time - 9 hours). Lunch on the way - lunch boxes. Arriving at the base. Dinner of traditional homemade dishes. You will know the traditions and way of life of the Old Believers. Russian sauna “banya” with fragrant taiga herbs. Accommodation in the forest lodge of old- believers. Rest.

Day 7. In the rhythm of nature

Breakfast. Walk on the bank of the river Sizim. Master class on felting boots (to be appointed in advance). Lunch of traditional homemade dishes. At sunset, visit the Mountain of Love, offering a wonderful view of the village of Old Believers. Russian sauna. Dinner with a degustation of the Old Believer "Kvas” (light alcoholic drink).

Day 8. Workshops and fishing

Breakfast. Photo walk at dawn in the picturesque surroundings. A master class of the Old Believers cuisine: you can try your hand in making taiga pies, learn the secret of the Siberian spicy sauce and be able to make sourdough bread on potatoes. Master class on the old form of needlework - weaving warm home rugs. For fans of fishing: in the winter - a master class in ice fishing (depending on weather conditions). After lunch, horseback riding through the picturesque surroundings. The story of a master herbalist about taiga herbs. You will learn how to cook different types of herbal teas. Tea tasting. In the evening phyto barrels/ sauna. Farewell dinner with homemade cognac.

Day 9. Geographical center of Asia

Breakfast. Early departure towards Turan elks breeding farm (210 km, approximately 7 hours). On the way, you will stop in Kyzyl for lunch, visit the geographical center of Asia on the Yenisei river embankment. We will see the famous monument "Center of Asia". Its author, Dashi Namdakov, is known not only in Russia, but also abroad. One of his sculptures, The Keeper (She-Guardian), is installed at the Marble Arch in the northeast of Hyde Park in London. One of the official religions of indigenous Tuvinians is shamanism. It is here that you can visit the clinic of shamans and go there consultation-diagnostics (paid separately). In addition, you will visit the real shaman rituals. Arrival in Turan elks breeding farm. Accommodation in the forest lodge. Dinner. Rest.

Day 10. Rest

Breakfast at the forest lodge. Relax. Here you will see the elks closely, learn how the farm is functioning, you can try antler baths, ride snowmobiles or ride horses (paid separately).

Day 11. Shushenskoye – XIX century village.

After breakfast in the forest lodge we start to Sushenskoye. Tour of the village, an open-air museum. Walking along Shushenskoye you will see how a poor and well-to-do peasants lived, what a “house with a mezzanine” was, how a rural prison and a beer-house were built, what was sold in a shop. You will see the crafts of Siberians.

Day 12. The village of artisans Petropavlovka

The creative approach of the villagers is felt in a wide range of arts and crafts presented here. Guests can choose a master class to taste: • basket weaving • blacksmithing (in 40 minutes the master will help you to forge a real ax!) • weaving • blacksmith craft In addition, here you can listen to how to play the original Russian instruments and make a harp or pipe. You can take part in such a master class, and under the guidance of an experienced master. Master class are conducted both in the workshop and in the open air, plunging into the traditional Russian way of life. Lunch and dinner in the village of home-cooked dishes.

Day 13. Transfer to Krasnoyarsk.

Breakfast. We depart for Krasnoyarsk. Travel time is approximately 9 hours (460 km). On the way lunch boxes. The end of the tour.
